On the 9th of July 2013, Dota 2 becomes an official game with new game mechanics, features, improved graphics and sounds. It is not anymore just a Warcraft 3 custom hero map, played on platforms like Garena, Ranked, Eurobattle etc. Dota 2 is now more competitive than ever with tournaments such as The International with a prize pool of millions of dollars and famous teams like Liquid, Vici.Gaming, Evil Geniuses, etc.

Developed by Valve Corporation and designed by IceFrog, Dota 2 is now played on Steam by players from all around the world. In addition, in its genre, MOBA (multi-player online battle arena), Dota 2 is on the top list!

      Dota 2 Story

Dota 2 Story of Heroes

Dota (Defend of the ancients) was first released on 2003, as a map created with World Editor of Warcraft 3 by Icefrog. The map was fun, played by people who wanted to see Heroes from the Warcraft Universe again, in another scenario. The map was popular at that time, such as Green TD and Angel Arena. But Dota developed quickly in more than just a fun map and became more complex and balanced with every new patch and added hero. To keep it simple, in the game there are fighting 5v5 heroes. Sentinels and The Scourge in opposite sides of the map are each trying to destroy the others’ Ancient building. Every hero was his own unique abilities and story. They will also have to craft items and farm gold, killing creeps.

      Dota 2 Difficulty

Dota 2 is complex. You will need at least 6 months to learn all the heroes and abilities, items, gameplay etc.. And it might take you even entire years to master it, to counter enemies, farm quickly, gang efficiently etc. We strongly recommend you to watch Twich or Youtube professional gamers playing it, and learn from their experience and from what they do.

      Dota 2 Graphics

Dota 2 Graphics

Dota 2 is having a minimalistic background with high contrast, a defined terrain and trees in mute colors. More complex and enhanced graphics focus on hero sets, spell effects and items. You will need at least 4 GB RAM, 2.2Gz processor, video card with pixel shader 4.0 and the minimum 764mb, 15 GB space drive to run Dota 2 smoothly and enjoy its every feature.

In conclusion, Dota 2 can be fun playing it at parties with friends, making strategies and climbing MMR. But be careful as the game is highly competitive and you can become addicted pretty quickly. Don’t forget that while you are having fun, you should still try to keep a foot in the real world and do your personal business and family duties. Enjoy!
