■ 15/04/09 - Star Ocean : Second Evolution Revealed during a Square Enix Party in 2007 alongside Star Ocean: First Departure, which was just released a little more than a month ago, Star Ocean: Second Evolution was a remake that fans have long been waiting for. Originally titled The Second Story, the game was the first actual Star Ocean game to be released in the United States, and it’s widely considered to be a PlayStation classic. Yoshinori Yamagishi, producer of the series, stated that he wants the remakes to feel as though they are completely new games. ■ 02/03/09 - Star Ocean : Second Evolution Après un remake de très bonne qualité avec First Departure, Star Ocean 2 ramène sa bobine sur les PSP européennes. Nous autres français avaient déjà eu la chance d'avoir le soft sur PS à l'époque, pas mal de joueurs RPGs ont donc déjà fait le soft.
A l'époque SO2 était considéré comme le meilleur RPG de la console aux côtés d'un certain FF VII.
On pourra le redécouvrir ici, mais... A t-il toujours la même saveur ?

Jeu de rôle japonais très classique, il abandonne - à sa sortie en 2000 sur Playstation - le tour par tour lors des combats au profit d'un système en temps réel très efficace. The series, which draws its roots way back on the Super Famicom (the first game never saw a formal release in the US until Star Ocean: First Departure hit the PSP last fall), hasn’t really enjoyed the same runaway success as other “Squeenix” franchises like Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy, but has still managed to be a pretty compelling series with great story elements and fun gameplay.
