■ 12/04/09 - Final Fantasy II: Anniversary Edition There was once a time when great mystery surrounded Final Fantasy II. Its English release was abandoned quite abruptly, despite the translation allegedly reaching an advanced beta stage, largely due to the upcoming launch of the SNES, and the apparent age of the NES. After Final Fantasy VII took the world by storm, an English version of Final Fantasy II was finally released as part of Final Fantasy Origins for the PlayStation, then again as part of Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls for the Game Boy Advance. ■ 16/10/08 - Final Fantasy II Anniversary Edition Pour les courageux qui seront décidés à se lancer dans la lecture de ce test concernant Final Fantasy II Anniversary alors que celle du 1er opus fût déjà un calvaire, je ne saurai trop vous conseiller d’aller parcourir un autre article sur Cfan, mon humeur n’ayant guère évolué depuis. Le côté positif de la chose, c’est que je vais pouvoir abréger puisque beaucoup de points concernant le remake du 1er épisode sur PSP sont toujours valables dans cette seconde aventure. Alors, vous ferez comme vous le souhaitez ; mais moi au moins j’aurai fait mon boulot !

■ 07/08/07 - Final Fantasy 2 Anniversary Edition In an awfully nice way of putting it, Final Fantasy II has never been much of a series favorite. But at least in the past it was packaged with its superior predecessor – most recently 2004’s Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls for the GBA.
■ 06/07/07 - Final Fantasy 2 Anniversary Edition This is where it all started. The original Final Fantasy appeared on the Famicom in Japan 20 years ago and reached American shores three years later. Since then, it has appeared on a variety of systems, most recently as part of Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls on the Game Boy Advance. As a piece of nostalgia, Final Fantasy Anniversary Edition is a decent romp through a true classic, where random encounters rule and fetch quests are a way of life.
