■ 12/04/09 - Dead Space There are only three rules: everything that can go wrong will go wrong, nothing is sacred, and saving life is impossible. These are the rules that make Dead Space the horror that it is, a cruel, shocking space drama that employs these bitter ideals with new technologies and techniques previously unseen in games, and others that push the boundaries previously set.

■ 02/03/09 - Dead Space There have long been survival-horror games that have delved into the range of human emotions and delivered pulse-pounding, heart-wrenching titles that are both terrifying and enjoyable to play. With the wide amount of games available now and the popularity of various other titles, it might have been hard for EA to create something new and innovative for gamers to enjoy. Overcoming that obstacle, Dead Space is just as good as any other game from which it derived inspiration, and sometimes even a bit better. Test de Dead Space sur PC, chez Gamer20.
■ 01/03/09 - Dead Space Interview The survival horror genre was in need of a shake up a few years ago and Capcom's Resident Evil 4 did just that. Since then we haven't really had a game that's come close to challenging the mighty series, but EA might be the company to do so. Dead Space has been labelled 'Resident Evil in Space' by some, so we caught up with Chuck Beaver, Senior Producer, and David Yee, lead gameplay engineer to find out how EA went about creating a survival horror game and if game development has changed over the years. ■ 01/03/09 - Dead Space "In space the stars are no nearer / they just glitter like a morgue / And I dreamed I was a spaceman / burned like a moth in a flame / And our world was so ****ing gone." The happy-go-lucky words of Marilyn Manson, folks. While it's a tad unlikely that Mazza was thinking about video games when he wrote them, these lyrics somehow remind us of our time with Dead Space, prowling the blood-spattered corridors of the USG Ishimura. There's something extremely lonely about being trapped aboard a space ship with a small army of razor-clawed aliens, but it's important to keep your mind focused and your finger on the trigger. Feeling sorry for yourself will get you nowhere - and besides, it's kinda hard to give yourself a hug when something just tore off both your arms. ■ 01/03/09 - Dead Space There aren't many games that make you scared. I mean real scared - the kind of scared that makes you fear the turning of a corridor, or the opening of a door, or the press of a switch. Dead Space, EA Redwood Shores' sci-fi survival horror, is without a doubt one of those games.
